Professor Raffaele Lafortezza from University of Bari, Italy paid a visit to the lab. Prof. Raffaele is an internaitonally recognized expert in the application of advanced technologies for ecosystem modeling and assessment. During his visit, he delivered an excellent talk titled Exploring the non-linear impacts of urban features on UHI effects using eXplainable artifical intelligence (XAI)
After the talk, Prof. Raffaele interacted with the graduate students and postdocs from the department. The lab will collaborate with Prof. Raffaele to promote more academic exchange between the two institutions. NbS has been identified as a topic that the two sides will collaborate in the future.
